Simply put monetary policy is adopted by the Reserve Bank of Australia to control the cash rate of the nation, this will have implications with the interest rates that commercial banks charge when one takes out a loan. More generally, the goal of monetary policy is to control inflation to ensure the continued and sustainable economic development for the Australian people.
